TNR Tape started in 2016 as a passion project, something I built because I hated ruining jerseys, and poking friends when trying to help. Ten years later, I'm proud that a small idea turned into something real. Proud of every order that went out the door, and mostly proud of the community that grew up around it. That part was never something I expected, and it's the part I'll miss most while we're away.
This spring was hard. I wrote back in January about what was happening in my neighborhood in South Minneapolis, and since then things haven't let up. On top of everything the community has been carrying, I've spent the last few months helping two close friends through mental health emergencies. It's the kind of thing that puts everything else in perspective fast. Tape orders just aren't where my head or my heart can be right now.
So TNR Tape is going on hiatus. I don't have a firm return date, and I'd rather be honest about that than promise something I can't guarantee. For now, I need to spend time with my family, get back on my bike, and take care of the people who need me.
Thank you for ten years of support. Thank you for being patient with me, especially this year. This business has always been about more than the product, and that hasn't changed, and it's exactly why I'm stepping away from it for a bit instead of just letting it fade.
I'll be back when I'm back. Take care of each other in the meantime.
